It is with great sadness to report that Averil Cotterill BEM passed away last Sunday. Averil was a staunch supporter of BKV, looking after the flower beds near the village hall and providing refreshments for our annual celebration and prize giving events. She was also active in many other groups and societies within the village. There will be a great hole left in village life.
The funeral will be a family affair on Tuesday 15th June at 10:30 at St Giles church, it will be preceded by a drive past around the village centre.
It is hoped that there will be a memorial event when lock down rules are removed and things get back to normal.
