You may have noticed and have hopefully used it, we run a local business directory on this site. These are businesses that used to advertise in the old magazine, support and serve our church and village. When the magazine ceased I copied them across. Most now advertise in the new magazine and as a bonus I'm happy to keep the directory on the site for everyone's use. If I've missed anyone off please do let me know and I will add them. If you have a website we are happy to publish that and put a forward link to it, this helps you to get up higher on the Google rankings.
However I recently I've had a couple of anonymous posts on the directory page advertising websites I've never heard of, and so without clicking any links I have removed them. Online security is very important to us, there are so many scams out there, trying to get you to click on links, trying to become friends, just to empty your bank account. Hopefully you have noticed we do not display telephone numbers or email address in 'raw' text, and save the details as graphics to avoid 'spam spiders' picking them up.
So if the posts that have been deleted are genuine then please get in touch so we can verify them and add them to our directory.
REMEMBER NEVER SEND MONEY TO ANYONE YOU HAVEN'T MET OR DON'T KNOW. DON'T CLICK ANY LINKS ON EMAILS OR TEXTS THAT LOOK SUSPICIOUS.
