Ringing of newly installed Dumbbell at Stoke Minster before Quarter Peal for Restored Spitfire

On Saturday 18th of September, a team of bell ringers met at Stoke Minster to ring a quarter to celebrate the unveiling on Wed 14 Sept of the fully restored MkXVI Spitfire No RW388 in a new gallery at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in Hanley.

Just before the Quarter, we couldn't resist trying out the newly installed dumbbell.  It is ideal for demonstrating the art of bell ringing and demonstrating how bells swing on and ring on their wheels.
