Haughton Village News

A big Thank You

Recently I have been working on the Church clock as we've been having problems with it striking.  I've been to the church on numerous occasions, and each time there has been some kind of maintenance activity taking place.

We are so lucky in Haughton to have sure a lovely old building within the Village.  I go ringing at many churches up and down the country and although most are very beautiful and historic, there is something magical and unique coming home to Haughton.

Some parts of our church dates back to the 13th Century and it really does take some looking after keeping it at the standard it is, there are so many unsung heroes within our village who volunteer tirelessly maintaining it's grounds, keeping it clean and tidy, maintained for future generations to come, and not to mention the finances and paperwork that comes with the building.

I'm not going to name anyone as I am bound to miss someone out, but from me and the rest of the Bell Ringers and Village, here is a BIG THANK YOU ALL.
